Sam Nightingale
Solicitor, LLB, BA, PGDip BHL

Originally a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, Sam was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland shortly before relocating across the Tasman to Bargara in November 2023.

Sam studied a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Philosophy at the University of Otago in New Zealand and completed both degrees on exchange at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Following this, Sam completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Bioethics and Health Law with distinction, again from the University of Otago.

Sam’s interests have led him to a variety of niche jobs where he has gained a breadth of experience in these areas. Sam has worked in child safety for the New Zealand equivalent of the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services; he has worked for New Zealand’s only law firm specializing in historic abuse claims; and most recently worked as an investigator and legal advisor where nurses were accused of professional misconduct.

Sam is passionate about helping those in need and those who don’t feel like they have a voice and is able to quickly build rapport with people from all walks of life.

During his time off he enjoys playing golf and closely follows rugby league and cricket.
